LATE FALL FISHING

Late fall fishing has improved a bit this week for Kentucky Lake anglers as temperatures have moderated the last week or so and have even been above average a few days. At midweek some calm days allowed nice fishing conditions for bass and crappie anglers and the weekend weather forecast indicates mild temperatures will linger for several days.

Surface temps are running in the 48-49 degree range. Lake levels are up slightly from last week at this time and will be in the 355.3 range at Kentucky Dam and 355.5 upstream in the New Johnsonville area. Water color is still pretty clear across the reservoir.

A few crappie are coming from 9 to 14 foot stakebeds and bass anglers continue to pound gravel banks and points with cranbaits and jig and craw combos.
