A Nice Kentucky Lake Smallmouth

Steve Wright of Two Rivers Guide Service
with a 5 lb. Kentucky Lake Bronzeback.

Steve caught the fish on March 15th on the main channel in the Paris Landing area. He was using a blue and black crankbait and caught the fish in three feet of  water while fishing from 3-8 feet deep.

The Paris Landing Smallmouth fishing has really improved over the last few years. This area has not been known for smallies. But, because of circumstances unknown to this author, there has been a noticeable increase in both their quantity and quality. This was evidenced last year by the stringers brought in at the local bass tournaments, where many of the winning catches consisted of at least part if not all Smallmouth.

I guess all the proof we need is the above picture. To contact Steve Wright for a fishing trip call 731-232-6068.

This fish was released back into Kentucky Lake, so it's probably even bigger by now.
