PARIS LANDING FISHING EVENTS

    The 9th Annual Steve McCadams “Casting For A Cure” Kids Fishing Rodeo, benefiting the American Cancer Society, returns to Carroll Lake near McKenzie on Saturday, June 7. The event is free and open to kids ages 15 and under.

    Registration will be held from 7-9 AM and rodeo hours will be 9-11 AM.

    Kentucky Lake’s Friday morning bass tournament series had Roger Buffington and Leon Rogers of Paris returning to the winner’s circle last week with a limit weighing 16.75 pounds. Second place went to the husband and wife team of Donnie and Lila Williams of Paris with 13.30 pounds.

   Paris Catfish Derby Week two winner was Stanley Gardner of Huron, TN., with a 21lb. 2 oz. catfish weighed on Thursday, May 15th at  Hooks N’ Horns, Hwy. 79 near Paris Landing.

    Winners can claim their $100 check and free entry for the Big Cat Quest on Friday, May 30th, at the Big Cat Quest office at Paris Landing State Park Amphitheater area between 4:00-9:00PM. The Derby is a free event sponsored by the Paris Landing Tourism League. For additional information call Toni Dycus at 336-8882.
