UPCOMING EVENTS AT HENRY COUNTY GUN CLUB
by Steve McCadams

April 25th 2008

Henry County Gun Club is sponsoring a trap shoot Saturday, April 26 for all the 4H/ Scholastic Clay Target Program kids in the region. All profits go to the 4H-SCTP program to help offset the high cost of shells.

Our shoot is a guide to help the kids learn the procedures for the formal competitions of the Regional and State shoots that are to follow,” said HCGC President Kimball Kelsey. “For some of them, it will be the first time they will shoot with their selected teams.  So, not only do they have to learn how to respond to our formal procedures and scoring, they will have to learn to work together as a team.”

Food and beverages will be provided by 4H/SCTP volunteers. The club is asking folks to come out and support the kids.

The shoot will begin at 8 AM.

Henry County Gun Club will host its annual Don Adams Memorial Trap Shoot on Saturday, May 10 and invites all area shooters to come out and partake of the events. Shooters can enter events offering one hundred single targets, one hundred handicap targets or fifty double targets.

“This event is being held in honor of a guy who regenerated interest in trap shooting at Henry County Gun Club,” said club president Kimball Kelsey.

Refreshments and lunch will be served. For more information contact Terry Reardon at 644-3283.
