The Henry County Gun Club is celebrating the 4th of July by sponsoring a “Family Day” on Saturday, July 5th . All family members and guests of club members are especially welcome. “With the cost of gas and diesel soaring, we thought it would be nice for the family and friends to come out and celebrate “Independence Day” locally at HCGC,” said club spokesman Kimball Kelsey. “It’s time to give mom a break and let dad fix the meal on our grills. Members are reminded that the club will provide soft drinks, condiments, charcoal, grills and paper products. Members are to bring their own meat and a side dish to share with others”. HCGC has two voice activated Skeet ranges, three voice activated Trap ranges, four 25 yd pistol bays, one 50 yd rifle/pistol bay, 100 & 200 yd rifle ranges and is in the process of constructing a 600 yd range. All ranges will be open for use. For the kids, there will have a BB gun match with prizes for the winners. Shooting starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends approximately 3:00 p.m. Bring your shotguns, pistols and rifles and have some great fun shooting. For more information on club events contact Kimball Kelsey at 247-3941 or Terry Reardon at 644-3283.
