   Supplementary Information  

Waterfowl Activity: 54% of duck and 53% of geese observed were recorded from upper Pool 4. Pool 7 had 23% of the duck recorded on the survey but no geese were observed in this unit. Along with having the highest number of birds present upper Pool 4 had greatest number of species observed with 8 duck species and 2 goose species.

Hunting Pressure and Success: No hunt in progress.

Weather: Overall this week’s temperatures have slightly been below normal. Average daytime highs are normally are 60o F. One two day high temp was 48o-55o. Nov. 5 refuge experience light to moderate rain most of the day.

Habitat: The majority of mallards were observed along the edges of willow water ecotone with most other ducks being observed in shallow flooded aquatic vegetation.
