Supplementary Information
Waterfowl Activity: On this survey 87% of ducks
observed were recorded
in upper Pool 4. Geese were fairly evenly distributed throughout the
length of the refuge.
Hunting Pressure and Success: No season in progress.
Weather: Lowest temperature occurred Monday with a morning low of 28o
F
mild temperatures persisted most of the week with typical afternoon high
reaching the low 60's.
Habitat: Waterfowl were completely absent from Pool 7 due to lack of
water in this unit, unit was drawn down 18" to facilitate crop harvest.
Now that cooperative farmer has finished harvesting
Pool 7 will be re-flood to the previous week's level.
