The Henry County based Covenant Ranch received a grant from the Friends of NRA and used the funds to purchase an automatic trap machine. Locally, the Henry County Friends of NRA chapter is one of the largest in the state as its annual banquet and auction are tops in fund raising each year. The grant given to Covenant Ranch was the result of the money raised at such events. “There are many supporters of this banquet in the Henry County area and we appreciate their support,” said Covenant Home spokesman Jon Paul Moody. “I thought the supporters would like to know what we did with the grant.” “We use the trap machine on a weekly basis. It is a very nice machine and the automatic device holds up to 180 trap. It sure makes it nice when you shoot as much as we do here and all you have to do is push a button.” The Covenant Ranch is very involved in introducing youngsters and adults to the sport of hunting and the outdoors. Each summer it hosts 7 weeks of Youth Sportsman and Bowhunter Camps. For additional information go to www.sonriseadventures.com .
