The Paris Landing Tourism League is currently hosting the first annual “Paris Catfish Derby”, which is in progress and runs through May 30^th. The derby is^preliminary to Bass Pro Shops “Big Cat Quest” Catfish Tournament on May 31^st to be held at Paris Landing State Park.

Weekly weigh-in deadline is each Friday at noon with stations located at Hulmes Sporting Goods on Hwy 641 S and Lakeview Grocery and Hooks and Horns in the Paris Landing area.

Week 1 winner: Steve Daniels of Buchanan, with a 5.4 lb. catfish weighed on Monday, May 5^th at Hooks & Horns. Daniels can claim his $100 check and free entry for the Big Cat Quest ($75 value) on Friday, May 30^th, at the Big Cat Quest office at Paris Landing State Park Amphitheater area between 4:00 – 9:00 PM.
