Last Saturday’s Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League LBL Division tournament on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes had a tie for the top spot as Keith Iddins of Knoxville, Tenn., and Johnnie McIver of Eddyville, Ky., each weighed in limits at tipped the scales at 20 pounds, 6 ounces. Each angler earned a check for $3,186. Iddins used a green-pumpkin Pop-R and Brush Hog along the bank below Devil’s Elbow to catch his bass. Also fishing banks below Devil’s elbow, McIver caught his limit in about 8 feet of water with a black and brown jig. Iddins took home the Boater Division Snickers Big Bass award, earning $695 for a 6-pound, 15-ounce bass he caught on green-pumpkin Pop-R. Danny Kincaid of Benton, Ky., earned $2,360 as the co-angler thanks to four bass weighing 14 pounds, 12 ounces. Local anglers making the payback were Parisians Donnie Williams with 16.01 pounds earning him $708, followed by Mike Ward with 14.10 pounds earning $370 and Tommy Ellis with 14.04 pounds earning $330.
