From the Friday morning weekly bass tournament scene comes word of the
win by Bennie and Pat Tyson of New Concord who weighed in 14.50 pounds.
They barely beat out Parisian Adam Craig who had 14.05 pounds. Big bass of
the morning went to Brad Triplett of Paris for a largemouth weighing 6.25
pounds.

The LBL Division of the $8.8 million Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League will
visit Barkley Lake in Cadiz, Ky., May 10 for the third of five
regular-season events. As many as 200 boaters and 200 co-anglers are
expected to compete in the tournament, which will award as much as $45,000
in cash, including a top award of $6,000 in the Boater Division.

Bass anglers seeking competition will have another event when the
SuperBass tournament trail drops anchor on Kentucky Lake out of Paris
Landing State Park Marina on Sunday. Anglers can register at the boat ramp
beginning at 4:30 AM. Tournament hours will be 6 AM until 3 PM.
# # # Tower Sports Center’s Wednesday afternoon bass tournament on Kentucky Lake indicated fish may be on the bed as it was pretty tough going for several local anglers competing. Parisians Brad and Chris Tripett managed to land 6.54 pounds to take the top spot. Second place went to Luke and Tommy Milraney with only 5.86 pounds, which included a 4.07 pound largemouth for big fish of the afternoon. The next midweek event in the series will be May 14.
